In the past there were two mills in Soest, named "de Vlijt" and "de Windhond", both of them demolished.

A large amount of enthusiastic volunteers, sponsors and beneficiaries made it possible for the windmill, "De Windhond", on the Soester Eng be rebuilt.
 
The opening of the mill took place during the Nationall Millday on the 10th of May 2008.

The idea of making a music studio on bungalowpark 't Eekhoornnest existed after the request of musicians wanting to record their songs while touring through the country. They want a place where they can think of new ideas and a quality space to do this. With the unique central location of this studio it is the ultimate meeting place for musicians to get together from any area. Above the studio is a fully equiped appartment where 4 people can stay over night. The studio as well as the appartment has silent airconditioning.

There has also been thought about the atmosphere. This can be created with different available lightings.

Of course there has also been thought about the
right acoustics. They've chosen for auralex acoustics to optimize this. There are two vocal booths, a live room/reheasal space and the control/mastering room.

The Studio rates excluding tax (incl. technician)

€ 299.= a day (8 hours), extra hours € 35.= an hour.
When using the studio 3 days in a row you will recieve 10 % discount. With use of 6 days this is 20%.
When requested the connections and settings wont be adjusted in the intermediary days.
A break, maximum of an hour, won't be charged on a daily rate. Accommodation costs are € 20.=  per person incl. bedsheets.




 

A guided tour through the Soestdijk palace is a unique experience. For the first time it's possible to visit the palace with the picturesque garden. The building is old, vulnerable and has been inhabited almost 70 years.

It's not possible to do a tour without a tourguide.

Children € 10,00 pp (one parent/guardian per child)
